Media Information

All requests for matchday accreditation should be made via DataCo’s i-PBS system.
Please submit all requests at least 48 hours in advance for Saturday fixtures and 24 hours in advance for midweek games.
If you cannot apply via i-PBS or miss the deadline, please email paul.joannou@walsallfc.co.uk from a company address with your DataCo licence number. This does not guarantee accreditation, however.
All media requests must come from DataCo-accredited journalists.
The club will make the manager and one player available for interview post-match in the press entrance room.
No one-on-one interviews with players will be granted on matchday unless previously arranged. Please submit these requests to paul.joannou@walsallfc.co.uk at least three days in advance.
Opposition press conferences are usually held pitchside, although this is at the discretion of that club’s press officer. Please contact the opposing club for more information.

Members of the media will be required to sign in upon arrival at the Media Entrance, open from 1pm on Saturdays and 5.45pm for midweek games.

Any bags will be checked before you can gain access to the press box. Hot drinks and snacks are available in the media working room.

Red Zones are still in operation. The pitch, dugout and tunnel area are all red zone. Only club media staff will be given red zone access.

Team line-ups are published on social media an hour before kick-off, with teamsheets handed out shortly after.

All journalists and broadcasters have an allocated seat in the press box, with any ISDN point you have requested in easy reach. We would respectfully ask you take your seat 15 minutes before kick-off to avoid any unnecessary congestion, and the extra time will enable you to check your connections. No filming is permitted from the press area, as outlined in DataCo’s regulations.

Please do not leave any equipment in the public walkways near the press box as this is a trip hazard.

Internet access is available from the press box; password information can be found on the wall in the media working room.

Only members of the opposition club media are permitted to access the tunnel pre and post-match. Under no circumstances will members of the press be allowed in the tunnel area on matchday - before, during or after the game. The same rules apply to the pitch area and the suites post-match.

At half-time a comprehensive round-up of the half-time scores can be heard on our Matchday PA System and you are welcome to return to the media room for refreshments.

At full-time, post-match interviews will take place at various locations within the stadium.

Home post-match interviews will take place in the press entrance room after the club interview has taken place.

Please liaise with the away club's press officer for interviews with opposition manager or players.

If you have any requests for Walsall players after the match, these should be directed to either Paul Joannou or Tom Heslop.

Please note: the media facilities, including the Blue Zone Car Park, will close 90 minutes after the final whistle.

Our media facilities are for working journalists, broadcasters, and photographers only. Anyone found not to be a bonafide member of the media will be asked to leave and all future applications from that organisation will be refused.

We hope you enjoy your visit and we look forward to welcoming you to the Poundland Bescot Stadium throughout the season.

All requests to interview the Head Coach, players or club staff must be requested in advance. Under no circumstances should players be approached without permission from the club. Please contact paul.joannou@walsallfc.co.uk

The club holds its weekly pre-match press conferences on either a Thursday or a Friday.

Invitations are sent out to our media distribution list in advance, with details of the time and interviewees.

To be added to the club’s media distribution list and receive the latest press releases, press conference calls and information, please email paul.joannou@walsallfc.co.uk.

All media requests must come from DataCo-accredited journalists.
